A GM-less TTRPG with LARP and musical elements, about grief and moving on. You play as friends to the deceased, with want/needs that wasn't fulfilled before they past away. Throughout each visit, you attempt to deal with unresolved issues between you and the ghost, and experience an emotion. The game ends when you finally move on. I love how this game approach the subject of grief, which is difficult and an emotional roller coaster, and moving on is rarely a simple process.
They Won't Go When I Go
A downloadable grave visit RPG
They Won’t Go When I Go is a GM-less TTRPG of ritual remembrance, funerals and grave visits for two or more players.
In it, we tell the story of a group of people and their yearly visits to a deceased friend, the Ghost. Every year, they return to perform the traditional grave rites left for them. Every year, something changes.
While playing, we will take on the roles of these Visitors. Over the course of the game, we discover their relationships with the Ghost, confront problems, make decisions and reveal stories. Each one of us will have a unique story to narrate and uncover.
Gather together, visit the deceased, piece together what you can, and complete the rites.
Made for Folklore Jam.
